With the forefront note that '99's singles are a bit scary, I'm looking forward to the match

I keep discovering stuff that is worthy at least for consideration (especially the choice of singles has proven to be rather tricky), so I would prefer after.

Agreed and agreed. I have around 10 solid album choices, but there's like 15 more albums I'd like to hear. And I'm not sure what to do with singles as of right now.

I have about 10-12 of both. I've got them separated into 2s.

How about I ask for everyone's picks for their first match (so, just the first two albums and two singles) by Christmas Eve, with a view to posting the first round of matches in the days following Christmas (most likely the 28th or 29th)? Those who want to send me all six group stage picks can, so long as the picks for the first match are specified. (However, obviously Group C participants would have to send their picks to another user. RoundTheBend? PossiblyMichigan?)
Does this sound like a reasonable compromise to everybody?

I'm cool with starting whenever since we'll have a couple weeks anyways to listen to everything.
2000 has a few obvious heavy hitters I could be going up against (as will most every year) so I guess the challenge is gauging when to play your heavy hitters based on what you predict your opponent will play. First round is tough because everything is on the table.

Yeah I would think there's an advantage to waiting to choose your picks for later matches since you'd be better able to guess what your opponent might nominate.
I'm down with sending in the first picks by Christmas Eve, as that gives me more time to explore my year before then and then I'll hopefully be able to focus on the first round of matches when they start.
