I would say this is my favourite metal album - and it's nu-metal! (kind of)
It's like dreamy, shoegaze metal.
Anyway yeah, forget Slipknot, Linkin Park, Korn and all that lot: this is what nu-metal should sound like.
Digital Bath, Change and Passenger are my favourites

Deftones try really hard to get out of alternative metal cliches and do interesting work and they sort of succeed here but unfortunately it really doesn't do anything for me anymore.

Ive tried and tried to get into it I just can't.
I do like the song Change in the house of flies for nostalgia reasons though.
I like their later albums a lot more.

A great album that really shows off their amazing sound. I feel like their later albums don't have the direction of this one, they have the sound but not the meat.
