Love this record. Right up there with Childish Prodigy for favorite Kurt Vile record. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

I love Vile, but only felt his latest was decent, so don't be so sure _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

This. Absolutely this.

And also this. Absolutely this too.
I adore this album (it's on my chart and all) but his latest album hasn't done much for me for some reason. "Smoke Ring For My Halo" just captures a certain something that is hard to capture, sort of a wistful, utterly zen and non-chalant dreaminess. It's masterful. "Wakin' On A Pretty Daze" was solid and there are some really cool guitar sounds and parts in there. But it has never really kept me locked in to the mood and music for the whole album experience.
Yeah, you may like this album yet, WindowAbove. _________________ -Ryan

I'm in the same situation. But after reading mecca and mercury's posts I'll check out his discography at some point.
