What is the album that you couldn't and wouldn't renounce to for any reason? The album which makes you feel high without needing drugs? The album you would keep safe till the end of time? Only one choice.

Well, I'm an Irish "indie kid" and I guess the one album that has held my interest for the longest amount of time is 'Dance The Devil...' by The Frames - I guess I consider it to be the best Irish indie rock LP (there are times when it veers toward becoming an "alternative rock" album but it never actually does). It was also the first Irish album I heard that I considered / perceived to be "world class" from start to finish. I kind of omitted it from my chart for a few months thinking that it had had its day, but it's now back on there and very high up on my list (though I don't care too much for anything that the band or its frontman has released in the meantime).

Dance The Devil... by The Frames

Strangely, some of this album's lyrics resonate for me very much while others completely pass me by...

I've never actually owned a proper copy of 'Dance The Devil...' - for years I just had a CD-R of it and now it's just on m4a files - must try to get a physical copy sometime.

The Doors by The Doors

there's something in Jimi's voice that touches something deep inside of me, something that makes me happy and dreamer; there's something in The Doors' music that makes me feel all embraced by infinity.
the poetry and music, the visions, hypnotic melodies
lettin' go
