The newest person to let go of is country music legend Loretta Lynn. She was 90 years old.

The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis, has passed away at age 87. Lewis was the last survivor of the inaugural 1986 class of inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (the other nine: Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, James Brown, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, and the Everly Brothers). It is truly the end of an era.

Mimi Parker (on the left), one of the key members of Low has passed away. Her hubsand Alan Sparhawk is now the sole member of the band.
The comeback Low had on those last two albums was phenomenal... I'm doubting the project will continue, but I'm glad the recent late-career creativity burst managed to be such a success.

Whoa. It’s been awhile since a BEA post stopped me in my tracks and made me really need a moment. Wow. Tragic. RIP Mimi. Phenomenal PHENOMENAL artist and person.
