I was looking at someone else's list and saw a lot of albums I liked, and some that I'd never heard of. Not surprisingly I liked those too.

So if anyone wants to chime in here with a suggestion for "If you like X, you'll like Y" I'd love to get some recommendations. They only need to be as obscure or esoteric as you'd like, and don't need to directed towards me. It's easier for me to digest one album rather than a whole list because no one has a list with 100% the same taste as me.

I added an album to BEA, so I figured I'd start there.

If you like:

Dummy by Portishead

Then you'll like:

Denali by Denali

(Note: This was also triggered by meccalecca's site: http://meccalecca.com/. For his album reviews, he includes "For Fans Of" which I find incredibly useful.)

Definite thanks for recommending the Sarah Vaughan, I like it a lot. The James Brown? Not so much.
