I don't know if everyone's submitted songs, so keep that in mind before submitting votes. |
I think a mandatory downvote might shake things up a bit in a good way but idk for sure...

I still need to listen to everything before I vote, but here are some potential themes for next rounds
songs where singers sing about singing songs (at least some sort of mention in the lyrics of singing)
entrance music if you were a wwe wrestler
dance music
you can hear the beard (music by people who audibly have beards) (I know you can't really hear that, but also you kind of can)
youtube soundtrack (people pick the best soundtrack for a video, like for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_sleRlUIsI, but like you could do it multiple times with different vids)

Well, I'm definitely willing to give it a try. If it doesn't work, can always change it.

Votes are in. Sangoma and Subvert got my upvotes. The choices were really hard because there wasn't a single track among the twelve that I strongly disliked. And they were nicely diverse and off the beaten track; I had only heard Molasses prior to the competition. Good job everyone! _________________ Add me on RYM

OK, so I finally had time to count the scores. Sorry for the delay.
At the end of week 1, scores stand thus:
DBZ 4
Jimmy 2
Tap 1
indieshins 0
Mercury -1
Baystate -4
These scores roll over into next week, so you have a chance to climb the ladder.
For what it's worth, I really enjoyed the Max Hatt/Edda Glass track, Mercury. That got one of my upvotes, personally. But really good picks all round, guys. I'll have to step my game up (not picking something like Hiatus Kaiyote may be a good start!)
