There's a light breeze coming in from the west northwest.
It is currently 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
The sky is mostly clear with the occasional cloud.
Thanks and have a great night.
Oh, and today's number is 5.
Is this what we get when u guys clinch your division?!
<Did u see the ending of the Patriots @ Raiders game?! >
Just a tribute to David Lynch's weather report which has seemingly ended as of 12/16/2022. At least for the time being.
And yes, I did see that bizarre ending to the Patriots game. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. And seeing as though the Raiders are the Chiefs' worst enemy, I wouldn't even wish that on Belichik and the Patriots.
After being out of commission for awhile, I've made that decision again to be a little bit more active around here. I want to put out a song a day for as long as I can muster. This time with no gimmicks, but just what I'm listening to at the moment.
Given that the album this song comes from is perfect, I could have just as easily picked any of the other tracks, but something about this one is a great example of this particular brand of country rock. I'm a huge a fan of the atmosphere created in this song by the acoustic and electric elements. They balance each other out in a natural way. The production is tight. One of my biggest gripes with any modern country rock is that the rock element generally outweighs any of that country element. The slide guitar and keyboards add just the right amount of color to the track to make a great blend of both genres.
If you ever wanted to know what the eventual robot takeover is going to sound like, then this is probably as close as you're going to get. Alison Goldfrapp adds some vocals to the track too, which is a plus.
Here's a cool and jazzy tune produced by Haruomi Hosono. I don't think I've ever listened to this whole album, but I've returned to this track a few times after finding it a few years ago. Fits a very specific aesthetic place in time in the late 90s.

That one sounded so fun that I decided to play the whole album in the background. Good rec Chief! _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

Nice! This album has gotten a decent amount of play from me recently, and I'd like to find some more stuff that fits the same genre.

I've been on the road since 12/26, I drove from KS down to Florida, but I leave tomorrow. I've had a song stuck in my head today, so that's what the song will be. It's a good one. One that encapsulates all of the best qualities of the artist.
I knew of 2-step Garage as a thing, but I don't think I've ever heard much from the scene. If there's anything else out there like the stuff off of this album (and this song in particular) then I'd love to hear it.
I know some Wookie stuff is generally described as both 2-step and garage, although it has R&B style vocals, more complex rhythms and it generally sounds busier. More like breaks stuff than garage imo. But then again, electronic subgenres are weird and I often find myself disagreeing with people when it comes to classifying them.

Larry Carlton is one of those prolific studio guitarists that has an incredibly diverse and deep list of credits. One of those bands being Steely Dan. This song is basically "Peg", but with the guitar solo being nearly the entire song. It's a prime candidate for best weather channel song.
