Post yours, and explain why you think they deserve more attention.

What a great idea for a thread.
So far, two great suggestions which are now on my chart.
I was aware of the Spalding but had forgotten about it.
Thanks, Chief, as I'd never heard Kincannon and that is a wonderful record (at least based on just the one listen through).
I have two entries here, although if you're not a prog fan, neither are likely to make it onto your charts.
The first is the new Spock's Beard album, Noise Floor.
Many fans understandably thought the Beard would lose its luster with the departure of group founder Neal Morse three albums ago, the remaining musicians are still the awesome musicians you'd expect from a seminal prog band. Others might also decry the more commercial direction of this album, but it's still got strong prog elements... and it often rocks hard as well. A great addition for any fan of the genre who is still okay with a little AOR bleed in to their prog.
The second is the new Phideaux, Infernal
Some prog leans on instrumental virtuosity, some on composition. Phideaux, while still full of solid musicianship, is definitely a composition band, and Infernal shows this off. nicely. Some parts shine well more than others, but overall, it's a great double and holds together well. Another great input for fans of the genre.
