If you want to make a jumpstart on the early days of techno music, and the genious work of Juan Atkins, this is probably the most complete compilation out there.

It sounds like a soundtrack to a dull movie. You can skip the middle out of many of the tracks and the track will be exactly the same, only shorter.

Despite being the biggest champion of this album on the site, Listmeister's not wrong. Although that's part of the appeal.

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE. PLEASE LISTEN TO BOTH ALBUMS BEFORE VOTING

This poll will run.

Clearly I don't know how to listen to this genre of music.

Out of the eight albums up for consideration in the current batch, the only one I kinda liked was stdio, so of course it looks like it probably won't make it to the next round.

I wouldn’t overanalyse it - you either dig it or you don’t.

And bizarrely enough although I thought that a compilation of the work of a second Detroit legend to appear in this set of match-ups would be an easy win for me I’ve got to confess I really like what I’ve heard of the Stdio LP. Need to listen to it in the dark and let it flow like I’m feeding my ears introveniously, but from the few tracks I’ve sampled thus far I’m smitten. Won’t vote until I’m totally happy with my choice, but could be a personal upset here...

I feel I may have been slightly misinterpreted here.
