Dat sexy lexical density.

I still haven't heard Labor Days in full... suppose that's going in the queue.

That's the best line on the song...

Rough match-up. I love Chutes Too Narrow, but I was never able to get into Oh Inverted World. Not really sure why, New Slang is pleasant enough. But not pleasant enough to make me vote against what used to be my favorite hip hop song.

I genuinely think this is the worst lyric I've heard in my entire life

I like Daylight but definitely New Slang for me. Love the Shins and this is one of their best- even Zach Braff couldn't ruin it.

TBH anything off of Labor Days would've won here. And that's not underestimating New Slang which is a good song, it's just that Aesop is too good and Labor Days is his masterpiece.

I love Daylight and have for a long time. Contender for my favorite Aesop Rock song. The beat is amazing and the hook is surprisingly great. I can see both sides on that lyric.

As for New Slang, it's just a perfectly-written song. Abstract and poetic lyrics that come into clearer focus with closer listening and contemplation. Incredible catchiness. Instrumentally and vocally outstanding, but also understated. Potent emotionally, evoking melancholy and nostalgia in a way that can catch you off guard. By the way, I've never seen Garden State. Should I?
