In The Flowers is a great song, and I understand why someone might prefer it, but for me it doesn't come particularly close to New Slang.
I first heard New Slang when I was working in an art supply store in Portland, Oregon during my first year in college. That was one of the more out of character jobs I've ever worked. It would come on the Pandora stations they played on a weekly basis, and it didn't take long for me to fall in love. _________________ Add me on RYM
I'm not as big on either artist as BEA is, though I prefer In the Flowers aon even if New Slang definitely has some nostalgia value despite being famous for it's feature in one of the films that totally exemplified the worst of 2000s indie junk culture.
Definitely a few mpp tracks I’d rate over in the flowers but it still gets my vote. Shins have always been an easy listen but never wowed me. Never seen the music video for new slang though, definitely enjoyed that _________________ kill yr idols
