Something to mull over. Personally I think it's comparatively speaking a fairly even field. Since it's an album ratings site I'm ignoring live performance (Just as well as Beach House are underwhelming). A 3 album minimum for myself but everyone obviously has there own parameters. Otherwise Fleet Foxes would be a lock.

St Vincent
Tame Impala
Kendrick Lamar
Beach House
Kamasi Washington

The garage-rock, psych-rock trifecta of

Thee Oh Sees
King Gizzard
Ty Segall

have all released at least 3 great albums this decade plus a lot of other really good ones.

interesting topic... there are only two i can say really nailed it 3+ times this decade, at least as far as making my top 100 for the decade. they are eartheater and susanne sundfor. i could maybe toss balam acab and holly herndon into the fold on the strength of 2 albums apiece along with some other solid releases.

edit: had a second think, and i'd definitely include grimes. i could get behind blanck mass, panabrite... maybe a few others. gonna keep mulling this over.

ROCK:
Haken
Dream Theater
Flying Colors
Lacuna Coil
I would have liked to have included Within Temptation with fantastic releases in 2011 and 2014, but they gapped until 2019 and that one was a diappointment.

JAZZ:
Brad Mehldau
John Scofield
Kenny Barron
Henry Threadgill
Pat Metheny
Bela Fleck
Theo Croker

I have to agree with chief, and I also second Susanne Sundfor. There's just too many to name though. 4+ great albums have Nils Frahm, Sharon Van Etten, Swans, Nick Cave, Amorphis, Nicolas Jaar, Deafheaven, Death Grips, Julia Holter, Father John Misty, Enslaved, Anderson Paak., The Caretaker and a lot of others.

I haven't caught up on this decade enough to draw a more "established" opinion yet but so far I would say Julia Holter is a pretty clear #1 with two of the very best of the decade (Tragedy, Aviary) and one not that far behind (Ekstasis).

Good lists, but do you think YG has made more than two great albums in the decade? And if so, what are they?

YG made two classics, and two strong, underrated albums.

Then again, I hate women and gays so YG really speaks to me on that level.
