New Caribou's a little scattered. Kinda feels like two EPs smushed together. Wish he picked a direction with it, but apart from some slightly weak vocals here and there, it's still got a solid handful of decent tracks. Can't say it stacks up to his previous work though.
And it's been a neat couple of days for 2020. McCraven's Scott-Heron reimagining is fantastic. Much better than what Jamie XX did (which I still enjoyed). The previously mentioned Tricot album is a blast. AAL's release is pretty solid. Navy Blue dropped a decent project (that... needed more rapping, but yeah). Denzel Curry's new project is enviously too short but packed solid. It's been good.
Could see it going over well with a lot of BEA. Wouldn't be surprised it if it sticks in my top 100 for the year by the end of it. _________________ The Strange, The Obscure, The Great (revised)
