Easily the weakest matchup of this stage. Going for MEC, because I can at least make it all the way through in one sitting.

Je n'ai pas choix difficile.

Melody's song is lovely and with that kind of forlorn atmosphere that makes it easy to get lost in, not quite a masterpiece but still an excellent mix of different styles regardless. Dance Yrself Clean is fine but just doesn't do enough to justify it's massive length, and dang was dissapointed with the results of the last matchup. Melody, c'est fini.

Haven't said much about my nomination, but since it has (partly thanks to the draw) done remarkably well, so I feel obliged to do so.

To me it's a highlight on an already very solid album, which is in my opinion possibly the best thing Kevin Parker has... contributed to. It takes what I love about his sound anyway, and takes it to a different direction, maybe with a hint of what I love in some of Broadcast's music. It's based on repetition and atmosphere, but progresses so much throughout. So much going on in the background. I love listening to the song and just focusing on a specific thing - the drums and the 5/4 rhythm, the bass line, or any other details floating around. It perfectly conveys its melancholic lyrics. Quand vas-tu changer ? moment gives me goosebumps damn near every time.

Love this song.

Dance Yrself Clean is actually a song I really loved for a long time, same goes for the album it's on. But it's really been a while since I wanted to put it on, and when it comes to their work, probably hasn't aged as well as, say, Someone Great.

I get what you mean. I still don't understand Dance Yrself Clean... it's truly very boring. I don't think it'd be too difficult to cut 4 minutes off of it. I like LCD Soundsystem, and I even like the record, so I don't think I'm missing anything here. It's just not an interesting song.

Melody's Echo Chamber.

Gorgeous track from Melody's Echo Chamber, and an easy vote. I do like its opponent though.
