Geek USA is one of my favorite 90s alternative songs, tbh.
Not to say the rest of the album is less, but Geek USA is the most memorable thing for me for some weird reason. Really well put-together record.

Indeed - very well done album.
I think record company said something like let's push Gish hard and Billy is like, no we can do much better, and they did. I used to have this on my chart and decided to go with the multi-facited sound of Infinite Sadness, but damn it's hard not to go back.
Also for those who love this era of Smashing Pumpkins, I really love this "b-sides" record, which imo, is just as much of a b-sides record as was Amnesiac or Zooropa.

Every time I play Siamese Dream I think the same ol'thing: Great album, but not one of the best of the 90's. Forgive me, but Mellon Collie is infinitely better.
No f- -ing regrets.

Yeah for me Siamese Dream is just so concise and brilliant musically and it's energy is higher... it's hard for me to not give it a second "glance" if you will. Infinite Sadness is kinda bloated sometimes, so it does cause me to stop and think, but in the end it's Infinite Sadness for sure. I think solely for the maturity and explosion of creativity, and Siamese Dream is a bit singular in dynamics. Hence my love for the aforementioned Pisces Iscariot record as I feel it has more dynamics yet the concise/not bloated feel.

I do like MC&TIS more, despite it being far more bloated but this still comes in second.

Such a powerful sounding album, the guitar tone is one of my favourites, some of the riffs really sound earth-shattering. While it took some time to adapt to Corgan's voice, it never bothered me that much. Mayonaise is clearly the high point and one of the best songs of the 90's, that intro is a work of art itself.
