*Is this song eligible? It's a remake of a song originally released in 2011. If it wouldn't, would Famous Prophets (Stars), which is much more different than its original counterpart? If that's also not eligible, though I think that'd be silly, I'll nominate The Ballad of the Costa Concordia.

I should also mention that my plan for play-ins is to take everyone's third nominee and randomly select songs until we have all the play-in contenders we need. So you may want to list your least favorite of your nominees third (I haven't recorded anything yet so feel free to edit your posts).

Like with Radiohead this was recorded specifically for a 2018 release so I think it's fine. If nothing else I'll use the precedent that we allowed songs from that album into the 2018 tourney.

Since it's a song tournament, could we not go to 128 nominees and maybe even have a group system? It's not as though songs are particularly difficult to digest, time-wise (inb4 Keith's noms).

I'm a bit wary of doing 128 songs only because the 2000s song tournament ended up taking so long, though I think with the play-ins we might have gone over 128 there. The forums have been a bit more active recently so we may be able to sustain interest for 128 songs. I'll wait to see how long it takes to get to 64 - and also if anyone else voices opinions on separating 2019 out of this tourney - and then make a decision.
Note that doing 2019 separately (and not repeating 2018) would allow for more nominees both from 2019 and 2015-2017.
