When the Mellotron ruled the world, and Fripp flipped metal into prog.

Definitely better then In the Court, for me the lows on this (Providence) are still higher then the lows on the debut (Moonchild)

I love this album
I heard King Crimson play Starless live a year ago and it was sublime.
John Wetton used to live just up the road from me but I never saw him about town.
It was sad when he died.

I can never really decide on my favorite King Crimson record. On some days I can confidently say its In the Wake of Poseidon and on others it could be Larks' Tongues in Aspic. Discipline and In the Court of the Crimson King, too. It's really interchangeable for me. There's no consistently "this is the one" album for me because KC were just that good.

Red is right behind those albums for me.

This whole album is great, but Starless is an absolute masterpiece that still gives me goosebumps when I listen to it, even though I've heard it a thousand times

Probably the most accessible King Crimson album. Fallen Angel and Starless are the highlights for me. The other tracks are all solid, but I think they drag on a bit after repeated listens.

Starless is one of the best pieces of music ever recorded. First heard it at a mates during a nice smoke. Blown away incredible. The one track let's the album down a little but still my favourite by them. One of Cobain's favourites I believe.
