Sounds good. I'll take 2000. Looks like a lot to explore there that will interest me. All you hip hop heads, please feel free to pm me some recs! I'm pretty green when it comes to hip hop.

Nominations aren't yet open; I'll start a separate thread for them. (Great choice, though.) _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

This is gonna take a lot of my time and energy tbh, but I’ll finally delve deeper into hip hop. Format looks fun too, I wasn’t here for those other tournaments mentioned. 2000 is a great choice Repo! _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

I would like to register my interest in participating. I may not seem like someone into hip hop on this site but hip hop was my fourth most listened to genre on my spotify wrapped this year, and I believe I could put forward an interesting slate with a mix of well known and not so well known albums and songs, especially if I go with a year from 2015-2020. I'll be around for the long haul too. Music is my thing and I'm not planning on that ever changing.

Down to help and down to participate! Excited for this one. These were always my favorite style of BEA tournaments

Thanks Skinny for taking the energy and time to think this through etc. Much appreciated.
Happy to help since I initially said I would and then got a little intimidated, but in the end I think this will all be fine and happy to help where you'd like.
Excited we are doing tracks AND albums. I suppose I was so track focused, but doing both will be cool.
As to fatigue... honestly I think the way Skinny is setting it up, it'll be closer to can we move on... hehe... we all consume music in near glutton level quantities.

Also in. I was browsing RYM's hip hop charts to try to figure out which year I've heard the most from, and I noticed that Biggie's "Warning" was released as a single in 1999, 5 years after the album it was included on. Will there be any limit on when singles released after albums can be used? 5 years isn't that long but if a single was released a long time after the initial song release (don't have a hip hop example but Never Meant was released as a single in 2014, 15 years later) is that allowed? _________________ And it's hard to be a human being. I'll leave it up to users to decide, but nominating a single years removed from its album is a cop-out in my opinion, and I'd be tempted to vote against anybody who did so on principal. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
