Doesn't matter on my end, Canada most likely won't have theatres open by then And if they are, I probably won't even be allowed to see it tbh. My full-vaccination date is currently November (maybe with luck earlier).
Looking forward to the Cannes line-up being announced next week though. Did catch the memo and I thought it was today (The French Dispatch already confirmed).

If an Edgar Wright directed horror starring Mckenzie, Taylor-Joy and Smith isn't a 10/10 I'm gonna be disappointed. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

Whole buncha stuff. Not too many snubs and a handful of pleasant surprises. Little too French maybe, but that's a recurrence. Un Certain Regard, Premiere, and the special screenings group all have solid selections too.
Super dry year for China (1), the UK (1), Spain (0), and Canada (0) though.
Just curious: do we think Bo Burnham: Inside counts as a movie? The length seems to fit but I'm not really sure how to designate it since it's mostly being considered a "special". To me that means TV show. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
Is anyone else excited for Peter Jackson's The Beatles Get Back documentary? For anyone else who missed the recent news, I just found out that it was announced on June 17 that it's going to be longer than a typical documentary - it's now going to be a 6 hour TV mini-series, premiering on Disney Plus over Thanksgiving weekend. From November 25-27, we will get three different two hour segments being released each day. I'm excited for the rare footage of the Beatles as they work and play in a couple London recording studios in 1969. Who else is pumped for this documentary turned miniseries? _________________ https://www.instagram.com/hardcoremusicjunkie

It's whatever it is.
I wasn't as big on it as others are, but I thought that internet song was pretty great.

Parts of Inside were just so so spot on for me. While my impression is that my mental health hasn't been as bad as Bo's, I've definitely felt similarly, so it really hit home. Plus I also turned 30 during the pandemic so that was a great one too.

This should be very interesting. Jackson has a great eye and great production senses, I expect this will be good. I'm glad Disney+ is branching out a bit beyond their current exclusive content, which is basically just Star Wars/Marvel and kids stuff. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
