His White Album. It's a mixed bag with some of his best rock cuts, ballads and an epic closer. I remember hearing a lot of these songs while growing up, so it's probably the most nostalgic Cave album for me.

Easily my favorite Cave album. And that's saying something because I do enjoy most of his music. I'm also a sucker for anything that references the Orpheus and Eurydice myths.

Absolutely his White Album, perhaps we should call it the Off-White Album haha.

Some powerful tracks here driven by a really hungry sounding Cave. I also love the use of the female backing vocalists on some of the record’s material.

To this point in my experience with the record I prefer disc one by some distance overall. A fantastic opener, some songs rooted in tremendous lyrical ideology (Nature Boy is pretty charming), and the churning Hiding All Away is just such a classic Nick track. One of my favorites for sure.

Among their classic albums, this is the one it took me the longest to get into. It's probably a combination of it being a double album and the fact there isn't any of the Cave'e mega hits on this thing. I think the whole period from 1997-2004 was The Bad Seeds at the height of their power, everything sounds so full and rich and they all sound so confident.
What's atypical on this album comparing it to other of my Cave favourites, is the fact that some of the rockier, faster songs are among mu favourite, while I usually like my Cave as a balladeer.
Get Ready For Love, There She Goes My Beautiful World, Nature Boy - such phenomenal energetic songs. Of course the album has it's fair share of amazing ballads as well, most famously the legendary Oh Childer with its now iconic use in Harry Potter. However I would like to comment on the song Breathless - Nick has written some of the most beautiful love songs ever, but this one is probably his most joyous, vibrant and beautiful in its happines.

Absolutely, I've felt for years that it's one of his best love songs.
