Could Sins of the Father actually win? Would love that. Desole doesn't do much for me, sorry DommeDamian. Easy vote. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart
Music is objective, personal, yadda yadda, but I think there's a correct answer here.
They say "rest in peace" the only peaceful gatherin'
Another track and field, leadin' with the javelin
Was only schemin', 'cause couldn't reason with my abdomen
Still bagged 'em all, Virgin Mary to Mary Magdalene
They used to call us devious
But if they was feedin' us, might've had obedience
You know my stock, was only good as my ingredients
The system only leaned on us, never showed us lenience
Ka - Sins of the Father
An artist whose releases are included in the top hundreds of ratings over different years.
I didn't learn the name, but my cons sometimes show through in the margins.
I could brush it off, as usual by saying that I don't understand hip hop.
More precisely, I do not understand the derivatives of foreign history and culture.
But this time there is a reason to share some associations.
Background - a repeating fragment lasting approximately 5 seconds.
It reminded me of the folklore part of the opera Prince Igor (Fly away on the wings of the wind).
In any case, this is part of a familiar and close melody.
The lyrics are a ballad on a biblical theme, I am a complete ignoramus in this respect.
And I must have missed a few good metaphors.
But overall it was like retelling a familiar story.
By the way, I came across another intersection:
Lyrics from the opera Prince Igor suggests returning to the house with sweet grapes.
The lyrics from Sins of the Father reject the place where the grapes are sour.
Gorillaz - Desole
A song from a different genre with different lyrics, but also with a folklore thread.
On the last tour, I chose Gorillaz without looking into the content.
The lyrics here probably offer freedom for empathy.
I could abstain, but I vote for Desole as more musical.
Obviously voting for Gorillaz again, but Sins of The Father is the best song to compete. If Desole loses then it was a fun ride. _________________ My Top 100 :
