Faye has def improved with more listens, kind of has became a nice warm blanket of an indie-folkie-pop-whatever track, but yeah "anything" is superior even if I don't hear the absolute masterpiece it's been heralded as. Still really good, though.
I thought I'd comfortably ride Lenker all the way to the finals. But after repeated listenings, this song is starting to lose its lustre; meanwhile I've grown more fond of the Webster with each subsequent listen. To my surprise, I'm not quite ready to declare a fave yet.
Faye Webster - Better Distractions
I criticized this track for musical inexpressiveness, but not for the lyrics.

Adrianne Lenker - anything
I was interested in the lyrics, but even more so in the title of the track.
Perhaps I came up with something for myself that was not included in the rider.
Two similar songs about loneliness for different age groups.
Unlike the opponent, the heroine of this song already understands that she has lost.
Against this background, musical depression looks quite organic.
This is a mandatory, but not the most joyful part of the school curriculum.
