Obviously not, and nobody is suggesting that anyone try — although to be fair, Nas is a multi-platinum-selling rapper who has hundreds of millions of dollars, along with his own venture-capital investment firm. So he's almost certainly surrounded by round-the-clock armed security, as well as the latest high-tech security gear, some of which only exists because he personally invested in the companies that make it. Of course, some of that security is there to thwart IRS agents who could potentially come after him for (allegedly) being a notorious tax cheat, and then there's also the 2018 spouse-abuse allegations made by his ex-wife, R&B singer/recording artist Kelis, who also accused him of refusing to pay child support while he still demanded equal custody of their daughter, to which he responded by accusing Kelis of abusing her. But these are minor quibbles in the life of a superstar!
By contrast, Kat and Andi from Bubble Tea & Cigarettes are just a couple of ordinary Japanese-American kids from Los Angeles doing bedroom pop in their apartment, and though the success of their first album has been enough to allow them to set up a small concert tour, they probably have no money at all to speak of. (They have a new single called "French Movie" coming out Friday, though.) Still, they're nice kids, and what's more, I'll bet that if they were to run into Nas on their way out of the Blue Moon, they'd offer to freely share some of their fried chicken with him if his armed security detail would allow it.
Full disclosure, I have not kept up with any of the Nas comeback albums over the past couple of years, because I didn't quite believe that he actually returned to form. Even though you can't murder Nas, someone put him into a coma, because that's what he sounded like on a mic.
On this track, he finally sounds like he's hungry again. Invigorated. Lyrically, it's still only about half of what made his early stuff elite, but it's much better than stuff released between mid 00s to the end of the last decade.
