That's weird... I wrote out a response to this, but it seems it didn't post Confused

It went something like this:

Thanks Afterhours, always look forward to your lists Smile Unfortunately, La Jetee (28m) doesn't quality for our overall list, but it is eligible for our shorts lists. I've bumped everything below it up a step, and (as is), your list has 98 entries— if you have two more films you want to slip in, please do Smile

5 Directors that dominated that decade per my taste:

Bergman - 6
Antonioni - 6 (This surprised me. So consistent that whole era)
S. Ray - 4 (2 in top 10... Arguably my fave director of the 1960s)
Kurosawa - 4
Kubrick - 4

Top years:
1960 - 15 films
1962 - 15 films
1964 - 12 films
1963 - 11 films

a bigger fan of the early sixties. Not a huge fan of any of the masterpieces of the new hollywood revolution. Some are here on the list but dor some reason not as much as the early 60s hollywood and other international film scenes or movements.

Not to tack more onto that last post, but I think I figured out why this came as a surprise to you Mr. Green (Antonioni only had 5 films in the 60s). I was actually thinking of making a post in this thread specifically about Antonioni (I have a note on my computer saying 'Antonioni post', but never figured out quite what to say). Pound-for-pound, he probably had the best output of the decade. Five masterpieces in a row. La Notte was one of my (ten or so) rewatches for this poll (moved up a notch on my list), and I'm hoping to get around to Blowup again sometime soon... it's been whoknowshowlong since I watched it last. Hopefully his entire output of the decade lands our list. Deserves it.

And thanks Afterhours, retallied Smile — it's odd... I thought I had Double Suicide somewhere on my list, but apparently I don't. Might have to mull that one over... definitely deserves a slot.
