Transatlanticism drives me a little crazy nowadays. Death Cab is my favorite band. The music resonates with me as it has for almost two decades at this point. I love Transatlanticism fully. Every song on it is meaningful to me to one degree or another. That said, some fans will act like this (as well as Plans and Narrow Stairs) are the only albums that exist in the band's discography when they have great albums and songs outside of those three albums. Personally, it might be my third favorite Death Cab album of their whole discography on a good day. Still, I cannot overstate how much this album has meant in my life, and of course I recommend it to anyone.
Track picks
1. The New Year
3. Title And Registration
4. Expo '86
7. Transatlanticism
10. We Looked Like Giants _________________ Inversion Verses

This is, personally, the only Death Cab album I enjoy. Everything else I have heard (Photo Album, We Have The Facts (especially), and even most of their 2022 one Asphalt Meadows) have fallen flat, let alone short of this album's replayability, melodiousness and flow. Though, there are a handful of the Transatlanticism Demos that I enjoy a lot more than the originals such as Title And Registration, Tiny Vessels etc. _________________ My Top 100 :

I'd rank The Photo Album and the Forbidden Love E.P. over this one, so I guess I agree with you...?
They're not my favorite band, though. I guess I'm too old for that to be the case!
