Obviously excellent and beautiful, though I confess to preferring his avant-garde and fusion stuff Miles did during the late sixties and early seventies.

This was my philosophy for a while, but I eventually realized that it was just way too good not to include. It may be the "cliché" jazz album pick, but I think that's warranted. Flawless from start to finish.
