Cool jazz.

Honestly the first jazz album I ever liked. "Blue Rhondo A La Turk" is downright godly!

And Take Give and Strange Meadow Lark are also awesome. Great album.

This was the first jazz album ever to go platinum. Popular appeal aside, though, it's still a masterwork that every music lover should give a listen to. As cool jazz goes, it's not quite as slick as Davis' Birth of the Cool, but it is more cerebral and holds up well to repeat listens.

I prefer this to Birth Of The Cool, actually. It's a great album, and Take Five and Blue Rondo are masterpieces.

Blue Rondo > Take Five

Anyway, the rest is alright. Not really my lump of sugar.
