I listened to the black parade once. It gave me a headache.

The music is ok but it's just that i think MCR are pretty childish.

You might want to reconsider such a word. It could imply there is "grown up" music.
What would constitute "childish" music?

It's funny I saw a video comparing their songs to sum 41 songs and the similarity is kinda funny. Not saying that they meant it or anything. _________________ RNFNR

Meh, I enjoy both bands to some degree. I think the black parade is definitely one of my top 100 albums of the 00's. Sum 41 never peaked my interest as much, but I really can dig a lot of their singles like "motivation"

I feel like the only one who feels entirely neutral about MCR. I don't like them nearly as much as their fans, but I don't hate them nearly as much as their detractors

I used to like Black Parade (the song, not the album). I would definitely like them a lot more if it weren't for their obnoxious fans.

Yeah, this is the kind of information that would be personally impacting... seven years ago. I really liked The Black Parade when it was first released, I even went to one of their concerts, but my musical diet didn't really have a lot of variety back then. That isn't really a knock against the band, they actually wrote some really invigorating songs and The Black Parade, although bombastic to the extreme and rather silly when it's analyzed more closely, actually holds up pretty well as a full album. But I moved on from them long time ago, and I don't quite view them as classic but rather a band of their time, though better than a lot of their peers.
