- Post subject: Greatest/favorite musician/band documentary?
|
I was just boredly going through my DVDs looking for something to watch. And I came across all my music movies. There are some really great ones. Documentaries j really like. some of em are like half documentary and half concert show (like the last waltz) Some of my favorites are "Dont Look Back" about Dylan, "Be Here To Love Me" about Townes Van Zandt, "We Jam Econo" about the Minutemen and "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" about Wilco.
Anyway, favorites anyone? _________________ -Ryan

It has to be It Might Get Loud. Having Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge all in a room together... just the concept is amazing

Rowland S Howard's Autoluminescent. A better appreciation for the man after watching it. One of Australia's best guitarists.

Agreed on the Pitchfork album documentaries. I may not like the site itself but they make a hell of a documentary.

"Anvil: The Story of Anvil" has to be my favorite music documentary of all time (and quite possibly my favorite documentary in general). Aside from that, I've always rather enjoyed the VH1 Classics series, particularly the ones on A Night at the Opera and Nevermind.

As a kid I used to watch Letters From A Porcupine constantly, which is about Blind Melon.
