I'm really not sure I'd make that comparison, or go as far to say they're the same song. Loads of songs are sad and share similar chord structures, if that makes them copies we'd have very few songs left in the world.
For about 3 seconds at the beginning of "Zebra" by Beach House I hear "Beidge over Trobled Water". Is that just me?
Anyway, yeah he's right. The same basic chord structures and songs have been used a lot.
Oh! Another classic example "Rock This Town" by the Stray Cata is soooo a rip off of "Blank Generation" by Richard Hell and The Voidoids. _________________ -Ryan
