Ohhh this album is great! Haven't heard this in a while. I'll have to do that later today. I really can't even remember what some of the highlights of it are. I'll write something else on it later. _________________

I have this at #67 on my chart ... seeing it listed here as album of the day makes me want to listen to it right now ... but I am almost afraid to because it will have me busy resorting lists.
1971 was an insane year for great albums:
What's Going On (Marvin Gaye), Who's Next (The Who), Led Zeppelin IV, There's A Riot Goin' On (Sly), Fragile (Yes), Aqualung (Jethro Tull), Sticky Fingers (Stones), Electric Warrior (T. Rex), Blue (Joni M.), Pearl (Janis Joplin), Maggot Brain (Funkadelic) and Tapestry ... probably missing more gems like Hunky Dory, Meddle, Allman Bros. At Fillmore East, L.A. Woman ...
seriously, if someone said "you can only listen to albums from one year for the rest of your life" ... I gotta believe this is one of the years in the running for me to pick. Half a dozen of these albums I could argue as my all time favorite album at different times in my "music-listening career".

Probably my favorite pop album of all time. Loved "So Far Away" "It's Too Late" "You've Got a Friend" and "Tapestry". It is a shame she did not put out more material like this.
