My dad says he saw Arcade Fire perform "Reflektor" on SNL. He thought it sucked. It's hard to tell a guy that you need a different mindset to judge modern disco, especially since Dad hardly knows indie rock. He admits he can't judge.

My personal favorite track is "Reflektor." For an indie rock/modern disco album (and Wikipedia calls the album disco so don't judge me), that song would freaking rule the disco scene if it were released in the 70's.

EDIT: I accidentally typed "Reflekto." Laughing

To be quite honest. most performances on SNL sound like crap. So I understand your dad's thoughts.

I had to bring this topic back for 2 reasons :
1)The new music video is released.Have you seen it ? what do you think about it ?
2)The Grammy awards. Will this album help arcade fire to "steal" another grammy from "mainstream" artists ?

"Steal" being the key word here.

Ok actually i don't care about that awards too much,But Reflektor beats eminem's and gaga's and timberlake's new albums easily (ok maybe not that easy in beating 20/20 xp but the other 2 are just too weak for reflektor)
