I don't get it. Maybe I will one day, but it was a chore to get through the first time.

I love this record, very fun and playful. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I remember Horrorshow to be my favorite track.

Edit : I did not like it at all the first few times either. Give it time Wink

The Libertines take time, but once it hits you, it hits you with power.
Love this album, so fun.

I love "Horrorshow." Excellent album. Tons of fun, and really catchy and energetic. It makes a lot of sense that Mick Jones produced it... The obvious Clash influence and similarities are insane. Not to mention the awesomeness of Carl Barat's and Pete Doherty's voices blending together, just like Joe Strummer and Mick Jones. I didn't like it the first time I heard a couple songs, just because I blew them off as a Strokes rip-off band, but I listened to the full album a while later, and now I completely love it.

love this album. there's a feeling of being sloppy and unhinged, and it's very similar to the early Replacements in those ways, but unlike the early Replacements, The Libertines were actually really tight.

Been listening to this album a lot more recently, not a lot of variety but I thinks that's part of its charm.

This album is pretty sick. Love the pure rock of it. It gets me going pretty hard. Need to revisit. Time for Heroes is a marvel of a song.
