The catchier the song the more likely it'll be a hit but which songs do you know that somehow slipped under the radar. the catchiest obscure songs you've ever heard.

A couple of ones that spring to my mind are I cant sleep by the La's and Chinese takeaway by the Adicts.

Despite selling over 37 million copies, I hardly ever hear mention of LZ4's "Four Sticks."

This absurd Dolcetti track springs to mind - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7MngRekV_o

Track list -

1 Tribale
2 Transient
3 Transport
4 Tremors
5 Trytrebor
6 Away From Home
7 Tresex
8 Tremendous

The album is bizarre, because you've got these seven T tracks, which iirc are all just instrumental rock tracks, and then just after half way through, this 'Away From Home' pops up and stands out like a sore thumb. Good album though.

Another one is Dennehy by Serengeti - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqrtoFWglMY

Play the two above songs at the same time. It sounds quite satanic.

Uh, how is Led Zepplin even remotely obscure?

Tell me you've ever heard mention of that song anywhere in life except for the album and this post. It's always the other seven tracks that get the glory. Besides, I'll bet there are a lot of Pink Floyd tracks and Radiohead tracks you and I had never heard about until joining BEA.

I would say "Four Sticks describes the OP. A song that "Slipped under the radar." And if you don't hear about a song from one of the 20 highest selling albums of a band that gets constant radioplay and acclaim on the websites, yeah it's under the radar IMO.
