This record is excellent.

It's such a fun album. It's really easy to dislike and it's really easy to make fun of but all the aspects that critics would feast on are to me somewhat what makes this album great. Is it cheesy? Yes. Is it over the top? Yes. Is David Lee Roth an annoying bastard? Yes. But man this band was so fucking fun. And they were fun to listen to too. This album also contains some great tracks. "Running with the Devil", "Eruption" "You really got me" "atomi punk" and many more are excellent.

Oh man this album is so much my fucking jam! It's awesome, though I'm still not quite sure whether it's hilariously pretentious, or hilariously humble. Ice Cream Man is marvelous anyway. And sorry to bring that up again, but that's another album I've discovered thanks to my dad. Fuck, dadrock is great!

Crap this album's good! It's been in my chart since the day I heard it. How many hit singles are from this album? Umm, Runnin', Eruption/You Really Got Me, Jamie's Cryin', Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love (The apostrophies, really!), and Feel Your Love Tonight. Ice Cream Man is in fact underrated and should get more radio-play, and it's safe to say the GNR hit "Mr. Brownstone" would not be here if not for the riff of "Atomic Punk." And Eruption even amazes the best of guitar players! No joke. Jimmy Page and the dude from Lynyrd Skynyrd (Free Bird solo) have been amazed. And people say Van Halen isn't a good band! Well, there's 1984, There's "A Different Kind of Truth," and there's this.

No, wait... what?! Now THIS thing is pretentious???! I've absolutely no idea what "pretentious" means then! Can't we just agree to never use words like 'pretentious', 'hipster' or 'dadrock' again?

But pretentious is often good. I mean, Muse is pretentious as fuck, but I love them. Sometimes you've got to love some overblown, bombastic music. Who doesn't love a great superhero film? They're sort of similar, in a way.

I love this album. As a young guitarist, this was one of my go-to albums. I remember spending hours and hours trying to learn Eruption.

But I do. Just check out my charts, I love Muse. It's just that there has been some misunderstanding about the word, at least people claim that I have misunderstood its meaning. And I'm also pretty sure that overblown/bombastic does not equal pretentious, but that's a discussion for tomorrow.. (hopefully there won't be one!)

The album is awesome btw!
