Once is nowhere near enough.
This album is something special. I think when it first came out I wanted a continuation of the sounds of their first 2 records. This caught me off guard, and I didn't really appreciate it for the masterpiece it is until the past couple years

I've only heard it a couple times, but I <3 it a lot. I doubt it'll ever pass Dummy in my eyes, but it could come close.

Extraordinary record, my favourite off them, and practically the best you could expect from a Portishead comeback. They'd defined the mid-90s already, and they defined the late 00's. Fantastic.

The first two Portishead's albums are both in my 90s' top ten, with Dummy being at the first spot, so it's pretty hard to put into words how important their music is to me. However, while I kinda like this one, I don't feel much more about it than that. Considering what people say here, though, it may be because I haven't given enough listens yet... I don't know.

Stunning album. Very different to Dummy. Is it their best? It's difficult to compare the two but I'd say they were neck and neck.
