I've never listened to it, and I probably won't do so before a few years.

Pretty good, but no where near their older work.

I would like this a million times better if Bono would write non-shitty lyrics.

It starts out really well. "Beautiful Day" is one of the better songs they've written since Zooropa and probably 1 of 3 I enjoy from the past decade (the other 2 being "Windows in the Sky" and "Moment of Surrender"). Then the album completely falls apart and they begin to parody themselves. "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of" is just godawful and just kills any moment the album has and none of the songs are anything more than just parodies of their golden age.
Sadly, this is truly when U2 became a tribute band to U2. They really should have just burned out instead of the awful fade away period they have been in for the past 15 years.

This is actually my favourite album from U2 as a whole (I can see this changing one day)
Admittedly it's very commercial and safe and there's nothing as good as the best from War or Joshua Tree
but I like all the singles, especially Beautiful Day and Walk On.
Kite and When I Look At the World are also very good I think.
Peace on earth is really quite poor though..
