Ty Segall's stuff has never done anything for me, although I do respect him and understand why others like him. I really liked Same Trailer, Different Park far more than any Segall release I've ever heard, so vote goes to Musgraves.

Feel pretty meh about both of them especially considering some of the other artists not moving on after round 1. I'm abstaining for now _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Kacey Musgraves might very well be the best mainstream country artist in the past decade.
But..like... It's Ty Segall.
I'll decide later. Especially if it's only Ty's solo stuff. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

Can't vote yet as I haven't heard a full album of hers, but it's going to be hard to beat the sheer volume of fantastic music Ty has under his belt. We're talking Blasted, Slaughterhouse, Twins, Sleeper, Goodbye Bread, Lemons, s/t and enough non album material for at least a couple more albums.

Yeah. I have to go with him. Sorry Kacey. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

Ive liked Ty Seagull's stuff and he's certainly done a lot in a short span, but personally I could have listened to him or not and I don't think my musical perspective would've really changed at all. Kacey on the other hand was a complete game-changer last year, and STDP was something akin to my guardian angel since it was released (I don't believe in angels though, maybe Ill think of a better metaphor sometime), and her early independently released stuff is actually quite good (she just innately seems to be one of the sharpest lyrcists alive) for someone who was only nineteen and musically relatively raw at the time. Don't have to think twice about which box is getting checked.
