I love this album, but I feel like the way the albums of the day are picked needs to be changed. Unless they are on a loop for some reason.

Albums of the day

Feb, 7 2013 & Feb, 12 2014 - The Bends
Feb, 8 2013 & Feb, 13 2014 - Velvet Underground and Nico
Feb, 9 2013 & Feb, 14 2014 - Loveless
Feb, 10 2013 & Feb, 15 2014 - Unknown Pleasures
Feb, 11 2013 & Feb, 16 2014 - Melon Collie... Sadness
Feb, 12 2013 & Feb, 17 2014 - Daydream Nation
Feb, 13 2013 & Feb, 18 2014 - Court of the Crimson King
Feb, 14 2013 & Feb, 19 2014 - Grace
Feb, 15 2013 & Feb, 20 2014 - Pink Moon
Feb, 16 2013 & Feb, 21 2014 - What Ever You Say...
Feb, 17 2013 & Feb, 22 2014 - Automatic for the people

Now im no programing wiz, so i dunno if this is an easy fix, or even if it bothers any one else, just thought id bring it up.

Anybody wanna bet that tomorrows album will be "This is It" - The Strokes

LOL!

Okay. Interpret as you wish.

"Everybody Hurts" is amazing! As is "Sidewinder"

Great album. It is special. Whenever I listen to it I love it.

I have't listened to it in a long time, but I relistened it not long ago. I loved it even better than before.

"They" is the incorrect word there. It is "he" or "she".

Go to a good dictionary and look up and clarify fully the difference between pronouns such as "They" "them" and "their" and pronouns such as "her" "him" "he" "she" "his" and "hers".

Let me know what you learn.

Well, to be fair:

dictionary.com wrote:
Usage note:
Long before the use of generic he was condemned as sexist, the pronouns they, their, and them were used in educated speech and in all but the most formal writing to refer to indefinite pronouns and to singular nouns of general personal reference, probably because such nouns are often not felt to be exclusively singular: If anyone calls, tell them I'll be back at six. Everyone began looking for their books at once. Such use is not a recent development, nor is it a mark of ignorance.

That being said, it's pretty silly to use "they" when you know the gender of the person to whom you're referring. Still, it's technically not incorrect (just obnoxious).

The way the AotD generator is set up, this should be expected. It's chosen based on which albums have risen the most in rank score. The highest-ranked albums are bound to come up before the lower-ranked albums.

Fantastic record, etc. I prefer their five first, but this one is far superior to the two that preceded it (though Green is good, too). R.E.M. is hands down the most consistent band of the 80s I've heard. Maybe not my favorite (that would be either Sonic Youth or The Replacements), but the streak of quality releases they have put out during this period is quite incredible.

"risen the most" in what time period? this doesnt explain why we have the same ten albums in the same order almost exactly a year apart.

My favorite of theirs which is quite the compliment since I think on the whole they have a very strong discography.
