These guys are gentlemen in their most anxiously dressed stories of sadness. I feel swept off my feet only to be dropped down to a bottomless pit of brood. This is a great album.

Great album.

And I'm going to be brave and say I prefer this to anything Joy Division have done. Be gentle.

It's been pondered many times before, and will undoubtedly be pondered many more times in the future, but I really struggle to find any need for this record in a world where Joy Division albums exist.

This is ones of the best albums of the 21st century. It's simply a masterpiece.

The singles are really good, but for me the most standing out part of the album is Obstacle 2, Stella Was A Diver And She Was Always Down and Roland. They are a perfect set of three songs, they just hit me.

The only sad part after falling in love with this album is the reminder of the rest of their albums. I wonder what happened, how did they lost their spark so fast. I don't think they will ever getting back, but this album will prevail in history.

Well I fucking love it. I think it's much more accessible than Joy Division, though. I didn't particularly like JD at first, it took me time, whereas this has a kind of instant Strokes catchiness that is immediately enjoyable. If I had friends trying to get into JD or post-punk in general, I'd certainly recommend this, as it's more modern and familiar sounding. That's why I can perfectly understand why some would find it unchallenging, unorignal, or any other words in "un-". I just happen to love it.

This album is pretty amazing. Such a beautifully emotional and just really vibrant post punk album. It's sooooo good!

Comparisons to Joy Division are fine. But JD never released an album nearly so great as this one.
