There’s a lot of remarkable things about this album but one that stands out to me is Tony Williams.
This is one of the best recorded examples of Tony redefining how one can use the drum set as an instrument and as a crucial melodic device in the arrangement. All the while, still being the major driving force of the piece too. Absolutely otherworldly.

One Miles's best album from his 2nd great is a fantastic move from the postbop era to gates of fusion.
This combo can safely be named the SUPER jazz group containing late household namhes. Listening to these late-sixties albums back to back is advisable, and this album must belong to the collection of every severe jazz maniac. As well as the other ones, too.
