The talented but relatively unsung singer-songwriter has been at it for years and has produced a lot of good music, but this is by far his best work. In fact, many of his best songs are on this record. Beautifully sung and performed, with tangy guitars over Freedy’s sweet, slightly mournful voice, the songs are accessible and meaningful. I love it all, but my favorites are “Bad Reputation,” “Disappointed Man,” “Evie's Tears,” “Cold Again,” and the title cut.
