Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 63.3/100, a mean average of 60.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 61.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.0.

A testament to greed. A once great rocker groveling for money. Shameful, but hey he's got a nice castle.

Don't rate this album very highly, Although the tracks Best Days & Do Ya Think I'm Sexy are two of his best, but it was still a disappointment - up to this point he had released some really good stuff this seemed to be saying "I Can't Be Bothered". Out Of Order and Vagabond Heart are better than this as are all the albums he made before this including those with the Faces. Foolish Behaviour the next studio album he made is a much better but underrated album.

People hate the album for "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" but in all honesty, that song is probably the best track here and one of only two disco-flavored tracks here (the other being a disco/rock remake of "Standing On The Shadows Of Love". The real problem here is mediocrity. There are 4 or 5 pretty solid songs here but also some tracks that make me feel subjected to water torture. Its not a disco album, its a lazy album that set the stage for much of Rod's 80s albums (barring Out Of Order and Tonight I'm Yours) that pair up a few decent singles with a slew of filler cuts.

Disco. Stage 2 of the sell-out career.
