This is an excellent album with a real funky feel to it, particularly 'Miss You'. I love the simplicity of the title track which is a personal favourite.

Awesome album from start to finish (almost--the wildly popular opener Miss You is actually weak commercial schlock relative to the rest of the album). It has great deep cuts like When the Whip Comes Down and Far Away Eyes, and finishes with possibly the best ever 1-2 closing punch in Beast of Burden and Shattered.

This album is average. It not at level of their four great albums. My favorite track,s are MISS YOU, WHEN THE WHIP COMES DOWN, FAR AWAY EYES, BEFORE THEY MAKE ME RUN and BEAST OF BURDEN.

I think it's the most overrated RS album.
Miss and Beast are huge numbers. Far away is fairly beauty and Before they make me run is another good track.
The rest is more or less uninspired Rootchord-4th(or5th) from start to finish. Almost like some protopunk stuff. Maybe many people like it for that reason.

This is the last truly great stones album. The band sound re-energised, maybe the onset of punk spurred them on to do something more relevant. It really has a zip and energy that the band hadn't shown since exile on main st(although I loved, black and blue). Miss you is an out and out stones classic which ranks right up there with their best songs. Other highlights are the hilarious far away eyes, the beautiful beast of burden and the gritty when the whip comes down. Lies is the only track that has a self conscious sound to it like the stones were trying to out punk the punks. Still, it's a great listen, a ballsy rockfest.
