This was also my introduction to Edgar Broughton and, but far later than 1969 and I agree, it’s their best album. Great driving rock. Totally agree with the beefheart connection but would also reference Howlin Wolf in terms of vocal delivery.
Very good blues rock album
Saw them twice in '69 at the Wake Arms pub in Epping and at Hyde Park in '70. Wasa Wasa was their first album and one of their best. Hard driven heavy blues, psych-rock, gritty vocals with elements of Beefheart.
