This is my first listen to a John Prine record. I have always been curious because of the critics love for him. A little too country for me however I had nothing to compare it too. I may revisit this one in the future. Rating (67.92)

It may not feature his most famous songs, or his most emotionally charged, but I’d argue there is no better record to demonstrate who John Prine is as an artist. This blend of heart, humor, honesty and creativity could have come from no one else.
Just one great song after another. It is a shame more people don't know what a great lyricist and songwriter Prine is. He gets labeled more in the folk category but he actually is all over the map with some country and rock stuff among others.
