I quite enjoyed it, it was pretty straight forward but soothing which makes for an easy listen.
Atmospheric without being earth-shattering
it sounds strange, but not like in an interesting way or an extremely dissonant way that makes the shaggs cool, more like an *off* way. the vocals are bizarrely unpleasant and the production seems like an ill-thought-out, sloppy assortment of various presets. that being said, throughout "the floundering" it sounds like you're being submerged underwater which conceptually works and is a nice touch - all those bubble sounds and sprays of water. besides that, i'm struggling to think of merits, however the final two tracks are the best here
