Electronic music, some nice tracks.
Well it's true that today I'm not too fan of the names of bands or artists. Between names of completely useless objects (Car Seat Headrest) or puns (King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard), the names are no longer grand and original as it was before. Chrystia Cabral had the good or bad idea of being called SPELLLING. This is just the word "spelling", misspelled intentionally. That's all. That's the whole joke. It's really not a great name. As SPELLLING, Cabral creates music that can not be categorized. She plays with all kinds of dark and vaporous sounds: textures of horror Gothic synth and new wave. That sweet voice is absolutely great. There are many Kate Bush, Björk and Arthur Russell in the way she lets her voice fly into infinity. All his dark and hypnotic sound is quite his, it's really unique! This is a beautiful record, evocative and provocative ... One of my first favorites this year.
