What a find this gentle album of queer, synth-indie is. The Smiths, Pet Shop Boys and The Magnetic Fields - particularly The Magnetic Fields are notable influences, all the while the vocalist sounds like Stephin Merritt, but Stephin on quaaludes. Not so much City Of Night but Tales Of The City, I’m sure Armistead Maupin would be proud.
